New Build Car Workshop Industrial Sectional Door Install

The brief...

Working on behalf of Hindley Contractors Ltd, ABC & Teckentrup were approached to supply and fit three industrial sectional doors to complete a brand-new steel-framed commercial car workshop in Kidderminster. The project had tight deadlines that needed to be met, so Teckentrup provided a fast-tracked production and transport service to ensure quick delivery of the doors to the site ready for high quality, compliant installation by ABC engineers.

Distinguished by their robust construction, using a 40mm thick double-walled door leaf, the design of Teckentrup industrial sectional garage doors offers flexibility, allowing doors to be adapted to meet most requirements. To achieve seamless access/egress of vehicles into the new car workshop, Teckentrup supplied three SW 40 sectional doors.

The install...

ABC Doors finished the job by completing compliant, high-quality install of the Teckentrup product to the building’s openings. Each door was to be manually operated so a compact geared chain hoist 4:1 reduction was installed, positioned to the right-hand side of each door. To gain access to the workshop on foot without opening the sizeable sectional door, the centre door had a a wicket door incorporated.

ABC engineers completed the install of all three doors in a single day, working efficiently, safely and most importantly, without disruption to the site.

The combined expertise and specialist knowledge of both companies offers customers the best of both worlds – industry leading Teckentrup product, backed up by ABC’s unbeatable installation service. You won’t find better support anywhere in the UK!
