UNIVERSAL CONTAINERS – NEW SITE OFFICE MADE FROM 8 X 40FT CONTAINERS

A long term customer of ABC who have had shutters fitted to modified secure containers many times over the years. After moving in next door to our building on a 5-acre parcel of land in spring 2015, they created a very exciting and unique head office block from steel shipping containers. We were asked to install recessed continental shutters, aluminium windows and doors as part of a very tight schedule of works. The results were amazing and creating very secure office block whilst keeping it light, modern and contemporary.

The 4 containers on the top were set forward overhanging the lower 4 which created two fantastic features to the office. On the ground floor, it left an open area which we enclosed using curtain walling and large glazed units which created an open and light entrance foyer. The clever part being internally we then installed compact wrap continental shutters which are practically invisible and wrap neatly behind the grey panels at the top of the windows.

Even more interestingly the open area created on the 1st floor became a fantastic terrace with decking and garden furniture. Accessed directly from the office via our folding sliding aluminium patio style doors.
